The Inner Space

Qi Gong Workshop with Ulrike Ebert (Italy)

January 4 & 5, 2020

Hosted by the Creative Music Workshop in partnership with Mocean Dance.

Led by Qi Gong master teacher, Ulrike Ebert, this introductory Qi Gong workshop will focus on the basic principles of Qi Gong practice including:

·     the relation between stillness and movement
·     the yin yang qualities in the exercises and how they define our space
·     the importance of standing practice, also called Zhan Zhuang
·     slowness as a fundament for perception and connection
·     correct posture for letting go of tension
·     mind and body become friends

Suitable for both beginner and experienced Qi Gong practitioners. No previous experience required.

Ulrike Ebert, born 1969 in Germany, is founder of  Shen Shan Tai Chi and Qi Gong school in Rome, Italy. For more than 20 years she learned Qi Gong and Yang style Tai Chi in the original lineage of the Yang family.

Since her school became independent in 2014, Ulrike has been teaching more and more Qi Gong finding in this practice the ideal discipline to energize and calm mind and body.

As a long term teacher and practitioner of this internal discipline, it is her experience that mind space and body space need to fuse in a profound way, and that it needs  slowness or stillness of movement  to bring the mind back to reign and transform the body into something we can call inner peace or openness or wisdom.

Mind can transform body, body can transform mind, developing an open, breathing, aligned and connected being that acts mindful and genuine.

Ulrike has been teaching since 1995 in Germany, since 2000 in Italy and now, for three years she is part of the training program ‘Warriors for the human spirit’ as Qi Gong teacher, working together with Margeret Wheatley and Jerry Granelli.
