Hello City is a monthly improv show inspired by stories from a local Haligonian. Voted Silver for Best Comedy Night 2018 + 2019!

AVERY JEAN BRENNAN
She/Her, They/Them

Avery Jean Brennan is an award-winning transfeminine musical theatre writer, performer, and producer based in Toronto, yet frequently in Halifax to bother people. Her pastimes include witchcraft, holding people accountable, and talking about feelings. They are just about to appear onstage in Neptune Theatre’s Peter Pan, as the first ever out transfeminine performer in a regional theatre musical in Canada. Avery Jean also works administratively at Toronto’s award-winning Bad Dog Comedy Theatre, where she refuses to do any improv. They will, however, always be willing to talk about themselves, and will always be the best dressed. You may have seen them in Halifax as part of the Bus Stop’s 24 Hour Theatre Thing, King of Berlin with Doppler Effect Productions, or singing showtunes wherever there’s a piano and a stiff drink.
