Luna Flamenca ~ Sept 30, 8pm

at The Company House
This event has passed.

In Flamenco, the Moon symbolizes and conjures powerful emotions. Luna Flamenca –a new Flamenco en Rouge production - is inspired by the influence of the moon, revealed through flamenco dance, song, music, and readings from Federico Garcia Lorca’s Romanceros Gitanos (Gypsy Romances).

Luna Flamenca combines powerful, evocative solo and ensemble dancing, singing, instrumentals and spoken word, weaving an integrated web of dramatic tension. Flamenco en Rouge, with guest artists, Irena Dumicz, (Edmonton), and Jacqueline Warwick (Director, Dalhousie Fountain School for Performing Arts), will present Luna Flamenca, sponsored by the National Bank of Canada, at The Company House (2202 Gottingen St.) on September 30 and October 1, at 8 PM.

Tickets for Luna Flamenca are $20 in advance and $25 on the evening of the performance – available through Tickethalifax.com
